Bare Bones Theatre – An Evening with Pete Searles
Actor, writer and international storyteller Pete Searles performs highlights from his acclaimed solo show Through Peru.
With nothing but voice, body and imagination, Pete conjures vivid characters, unexpected encounters and moments of danger, comedy and wonder.
This is bare bones theatre at its most immediate — where the performer, the story and the audience meet face to face.
The evening also introduces Pete’s five-day masterclass:
The Art of the Solo Show – Creating Theatre from Your Own Experience
A practical and inspiring course showing actors how to transform their own lives, memories and adventures into compelling solo performance.

Actor, writer, director and storyteller Pete Searles has spent a lifetime turning extraordinary real-life adventures into compelling solo theatre.
Since training at LAMDA, Peter has worked extensively as an actor in theatre, television and radio. His writing credits include the award-nominated Forest People, co-written with Douglas Hodge for BBC Television, and Five Smooth Stones for the Bush Theatre.
Peter is best known for his repertoire of comedic one-man shows, which draw on his travels and adventures around the world.
