From Actor to Content Creator (two-part series)
This two-part workshop is designed for actors who are curious about creating their own online content but aren’t sure where to start! It offers a supportive, practical space to explore how performance skills can translate into engaging digital work.
Session One focuses on theory, inspiration, and discussion. We’ll explore what makes successful online content, how actors can utilise their existing skills and how to generate ideas that feel authentic and achievable. Participants will begin developing their own concepts during the session and will be set a simple, manageable piece of homework to create and share a short piece of content.
Session Two is a collaborative feedback and reflection session. We’ll review the content created, share experiences of the process, and offer constructive feedback in a supportive environment. The session will also cover next steps, building confidence, and maintaining a creative practice online.
This workshop is ideal for actors who want to experiment, build confidence in putting themselves out there, and discover how their unique voice and comedic instincts can translate into the digital space.
The workshop is led by Holly Hall, a professional actor and comedy performer. Her credits include The Last Leg, The Stand Up Sketch Show, and DMs Are Open. She is the winner of the BBC New Comedy Awards Digital Comedian of the Year and went on to write and star in her own BBC short film, It’s What She Would Have Wanted (available on iPlayer).
