Description
This introductory class will offer the core principles of Lucid Body and give you a chance to connect mind and body through movement, impulse, and improvisation. The work intentionally leads us away from habitual patterns in order to stretch into the lesser used parts of self.
Raniah trained and worked as an actor before finding Lucid Body during a decade living in New York. In 2013 she returned to her childhood home and founded Lucid Body London where she also began teaching in drama schools, notably almost a decade with Italia Conti and Drama Studio London. Over the years she has also taught Lucid Body or Intimacy for Actors at Central School of Speech and Drama, LAMDA, Mountview, Arts Ed, and ALRA. She continues to run Lucid Body London and is currently a faculty member of Shakespeare’s Globe Higher Education Department as well as a busy Intimacy Director. Her most recent Intimacy work includes The Virgins (Soho Theatre) and Deep Azure (Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre). Her working ethos is to meet every actor halfway, keep spaces free of judgment or censorship, and have a lot of fun exploring even the hardest to reach parts of self.
